It takes one step after another to create the world you want. Take the step.

YOGA & MELISSA

The Standing and Tri-Dosha yoga series that I practice and now teach, allow us to deeply understand that we already are enough. We learn to surrender to the now, to this beautiful moment and we begin to reestablish a more balanced way of living. This yoga isn't going to ask you to push, and then push some more(we have this enough in our daily life:)). This practice asks you to come back to being floppy and relaxed, so you can be clearer, more in-tune with yourself, others, and to start healing the imbalance. The postures, or Asanas, remain mostly the same each session, with your eyes closed the entire time to go deeper with your own impulse.

Class begins with a standing series that helps develop skeletal alignment and warms up the body. We then flow into the Tri-Dosha Balancing Series. The Tri-Dosha is a gentle series that cultures subconscious meditation, body intuition, flexibility, strength, and increased lung capacity and efficiency.  As you relax, your subconscious systems take over and you optimize your health and heal in a very positive way.

Yes, you will be more flexible, coordinated, stronger, but you'll also have the opportunity to begin to show up in life differently, have more clarity, curiosity and courage to go deeper with your creative, magnetic self. You'll gain more trust, as you source love from within. Join me, as
I will guide you to quiet, listen, and connect..:)

Information on me....

I’ve been on a very intentional journey back to wholeness for the last twenty years: helping thousands of people in the public health and gov/nonprofit sector, engaging in life-affirming practices, and learning from incredible teachers from all over the world. I’m so grateful for the amazing opportunities and people that have crossed my path as I continue to go deeper into this authentic sacred SELF.

Some examples that have profoundly influenced the way I flow in life are: growing up in a small farming town, where community and helping others were very important, learning mindfulness while practicing at Thich Nhat Han's Monastery, understanding craving and aversion in the body meditating for ten hours for ten days in Cambodia, uncovering the sacred while receiving my yoga teacher certification in India, learning how to surrender to what is and take 100% responsibility for my life, and working with pioneering woman that have helped me recognize that reclaiming our feminine essence is included in our wholeness.

I’ve also discovered that we transform when we get honest about our distractions, and the shadow aspects of our selves that may be greatly influencing our Life. Through my own deep process, I could no longer ignore my unmanaged stress, anxiety, perfectionism, unhealthy relationship with alcohol, and the inability to have nourishing and supportive relationships with others, and especially with myself. Maybe you can relate. These experiences have allowed me to go to the roots of my suffering, to understand, heal, and finally be in transformation.

I can tell you from my incredible journey and to the moment to moment practices, that Life is indeed magical, YOU are indeed incredible, and vibrant, even in chaos; and we are here to truly be ALIVE, and be lit up!   Do we experience pain and struggle, yes, but all of this is just part of the amazing practice as we learn to source love from within and connect to our greater world.

After living in Asia for three years, I have settled in this beautiful coastal town, with my loving husband. Here I support and nourish the mind/body/heart/soul connection. I also help others thrive in my position in the health field. I am here to share my love of life and stories, as well as the profound ancient and pioneering practices that have had an impact in my life in hopes to inspire you to REDISCOVER your amazing self on your unique path.
